The "C" word...

I feel I should tell you a little about myself before I continue with this blog. I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. I love the Lord with all that I am and thank Him for His saving grace. I am also a teacher. I teach 5th grade at a small school and have been doing that for 15 years now. I create door hangers and love to paint. Outside the Lines comes from my facebook page where I post my creations. I am also a colon cancer survivor and have been in remission now for almost three years. March of 2020 will mark my third year in remission. The "C" word changed my life... in many ways. It took my dad in 2016 and left my family with a void that cannot be filled with anything but God's comfort and treasured memories. In 2017, one year later, I was diagnosed with the same cancer.

Life's journey while battling cancer has taught me many things. We had quite a scare this past summer as further testing showed some unusual signs of a recurrence, but thankfully, the test was not what it seemed. That is quite a story, and I'm sure I'll share it here. What a rollercoaster of emotions cancer carries you through! As hard as you try to stop it, it consumes you... your mind especially. But God....He showed out in my life. I felt a comfort like never before while battling cancer. You may be battling cancer, or know someone who is. I pray you or your loved ones feel that comfort too.
